Lori founded Medical Marketing Whiz because she saw a need for physicians and their busy staffs to have a dedicated marketing expert in order to stay competitive in this the digital era.
Prior to founding Medical Marketing Whiz, Lori Werner spent 15 years in the medical sales industry including medical devices and pharmaceutical sales. While “carrying the bag,” Lori observed the day-to-day workings of medical practices across a variety of therapeutic areas, including OBGYN, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Primary Care and Integrative Medicine.
Lori also served as a field-based digital marketing expert for the largest Women’s Health company in the world, helping medical practices grow their procedure volumes through social media marketing, websites, and patient seminars.
Lori has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University with a marketing concentration. Lori is also an avid fitness enthusiast and wellness advocate and has been a health coach for six years.
Glenn Akins has over 16 years of experience in medical sales and marketing across a variety of medical specialties including Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Chiropractic, and Functional Medicine.
Glenn also served as the Director of Operations and successfully launched a functional medicine practice.
Glenn has a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Mount Union and a Master of Science in Human Performance/Biomechanics from the University of Wisconsin. He is also a certified personal trainer and has been a health coach for six years.
